We Care
For Our
Golden Agers
Our Golden Agers are the HeartBeat of our Foundation.
The Blvd Collective collaborates with senior living communities to engage seniors in preparing meals and making care kits for the unhoused. Our Golden Agers work in an assembly-line format, fostering teamwork and meaningful social interactions. This opportunity combats isolation, which is strongly linked to mental decline. Through participation, our seniors gain a sense of purpose and improved mental health, while also contributing to the well-being of Indianapolis’s unhoused population.
Social opportunities for senior citizens, like those provided by Blvd Boutique, are essential for their overall well-being and cognitive health. Research highlights the importance of staying socially engaged, especially as it can significantly impact seniors’ mental, emotional, and physical health. Here’s why offering such opportunities is critical:
Why Offering
Such Opportunities is Critical?

-
Physical Health: Seniors who stay socially active are 30% more likely to maintain their mobility and 20% more likely to report excellent health, compared to those who are isolated.
-
Longevity: Strong social connections can increase seniors' life expectancy by up to 50%, highlighting the life-extending impact of meaningful relationships.
-
Cognitive Health: Regular social interaction has been linked to a slower rate of cognitive decline, as it keeps the mind stimulated and engaged.
